>From the Office of Community Affairs: I am writing to share details with you on the Appointments Project, an initiative that the Mayor launched last week to boost gender diversity on our City Boards, Authorities, and Commissions (BACs) and build on our progress of having 61% of our BAC seats being held by women. Led by UnitedWE, the Appointments Project will host 2 information sessions and help us build a pipeline of talented and gender-diverse individuals who are willing to serve the City on BACs. The information sessions will be held virtually via Zoom on Monday, December 7th at 12 noon and Monday, January 13th at 12 noon. Registration links, an application portal to be considered for BAC appointments, and details on the initiative can be found here: https://pittsburghpa.gov/mayor/ appointments-project. Time to get ready for next weekend's Light-up Night! So far we have several Bryant Street businesses signed up (including La Scola's, Gallery Ama, and Casa Brasil) and several spirited neighbors. Now we need you: Break out your lights and rally your block for - - Highland Park Light-Up Night Saturday Dec 12 5 - 7 pm To celebrate winter, our resilience, and the holidays, we want to see the neighborhood at its brightest on Dec 12th.
