Selling our Fridgidaire window air conditioner. It's 15,000 BTU. It was the most powerful one I could get that still uses a regular outlet. It has a remote control. I’m proud to announce that as of this month, the empty lot at the corner of Bryant Street and N. Euclid Avenue next to Casa Basil will officially become a community space! The parklet represents a unique collaboration between the property owner, the Highland Park Community Development Corporation (HPCDC), and the HPCC. Not only will the parklet provide an attractive green space in our business district for community members to enjoy, it is also a way for us to support our local businesses by creating more outdoor seating options for customers and visitors to Bryant Street. On Saturday, October 24, 11 am - 3 pm, we need your help removing trash, debris, overgrown shrubs, and the old broken picnic tables. We’ll be building new four wooden picnic tables, including one that is wheelchair accessible that will be located on a new compact gravel path. We’ll also be decorating the space for fall with mums, hay bales, and other seasonal decorations. Hello neighbors! We're looking for someone to care for our 15-month-old daughter for a couple hours each morning. It would be from around 8am-10am, Monday-Friday (although we are somewhat flexible if a different schedule worked). Our daughter is a fun, happy, easy-going kiddo and we're hoping to find a fun, creative, and caring person to look after her. Hi HPers, As a former HPer, we at Singing Wren Farm know how important good local food is to you all especially in these challenging times. We have an excellent herd of yearling American Guinea hogs growing fat on organic pasture. We have already presold all but 1 of the 9 pigs that will be available this coming fall and winter This hog share will be ready to butcher early spring of 2021. The price will be $6 a pound hanging weight for the whole hog, $6.50 for 1/2 hog, and $6.75 for quarter hog orders plus butchering fees. We had a great 2018 season (took a break for 2019) and have 12 piglets growing up for the 2021 and 2022 season! We look forward to providing you with absolutely best-tasting pork you've ever had! These heritage breed hogs are raised 100% on pasture year-round with mud to wallow in, woods to forage in, other pigs to socialize with as well as all the sunshine and green grass they can eat.
