Highland Park Recommendations: Dentist, Vet, Salon, and Car Inspection

Good afternoon! I recently moved to Highland Park from out of state and wanted to ask for recommendations for the following: 1. Dentist 2. Salon -- for women, just for cut and color (solid, nothing fancy). 3. Vet -- I have a large breed dog with previous orthopedic surgeries and a propensity for getting himself into trouble. I need a vet that is reliable, good with paperwork (for his insurance), and able to deal with a multitude of issues. 4. Car Inspections -- safety and emissions; bonus if the shop is also recommended for other car maintenance (oil changes and the like) I figured asking the neighborhood might be more reliable than Google. I am a grad student so places that reasonably priced are preferable (though quality is most important, of course!). Positive and negative insights welcomed. Many thanks in advance! Anna Meurer

Porch swing for sale - $100

Hello neighbors! I’ve pretended that this amazing porch swing actually fits on my front porch for 2 summers now, it’s time to start being honest. This swing is roughly 5’ w x 2.5’ d x 13” h. Minor damage on the rear of the right arm thanks to the column on my porch (pictured). We brought it indoors for the winter, very little wear & tear. Cushion covers are water resistant and machine washable. Thanks for looking! Kara
