Fresh LOCAL pasture raised meats at Bryant Street Market

Hey All, Some of you know I opened a store in Lawrenceville. We carry a pretty big line of pasture raised meats there and they are just flying off the shelf. Would this be of any interest to any one in HP? (Kind of a dumb question I know). All kinds of beef, pork, and chicken products. Goodness Grows Farms in Saxonburg is the source. It’s all vacuum packed with a 10 day shelf life. I really want this for HP but wanted to get some feed back first. As you can imagine, it’s not cheap, but the freshness factor and quality is insane. Andrea M. reports: " A tree and phone pole evidently were downed at that last big storm....on the path between the Highland Park pond and the HP pool is a professional grade bat house! It must have been attached to either the tree or the pole prior to the storm. It looks like it was only minimally damaged if at all, and would be excellent salvage if you know of anyone who's expressed interest in a bat house."

TV Recycling - Final Update

After sending out my second email with what I had found out about TV recycling, someone on the listserv suggested that I see if the Free Store in Wilkinsburg might take the TV (ours is still in working condition, we just don't have the remote anymore). I contacted the store and they said they'd take it even without the remote. We dropped it off there Tuesday during their donation hours. So, if you need to get rid of a TV that still works, try the Free Store in Wilkinsburg before you pay to have it recycled. This way someone else will get to use the TV, and we save some money. Win-win! Another note - if you do have to recycle a TV, be aware that Best Buy locations in PA no longer accept electronics like TVs for recycling, due to recent changes in regulations. But if you're planning a trip to Ohio or WV, you can take your TV to a Best Buy location there and they'll recycle it for free, or so I've been told. Thanks to all of you who sent me suggestions!
