Mothers and friends in PA. This is an urgent request for you to call your Senator tonight and tomorrow and urge them to pass HB2060 with no changes. Unfortunately, there is opposition to a hard earned domestic violence bill #HB2060 and western PA senators may choose not to support the bill. But we CANNOT WAIT. People are in danger NOW and in the coming days until we get this passed. Most of us have felt a need to help in some way, but many don't know what to do. The Student Nonprofit Alliance has offered to coordinate a campus-wide relief effort for victims of Hurricane Florence. SNA's involvement also furthers our members' professional development as these students will one day be in positions that coordinate these types of initiatives. Attached is a pdf document/flyer that explains how you or groups of which you are a part can join the Slippery Rock University (SRU) "Friends Against Florence" campaign which will run through Oct 12, 2018.
