MS Ride - Please Consider Donating

Hello Friends and Neighbors! I am riding (biking) for MS again this year on September 16, in Cooks Forest State Park for 60miles! If you are feeling generous please donate to me and my team (Team Bacon). I am setting a $100 fundraising goal! Last year was my first time riding for MS and it was really touching to see so many people riding for the cause and standing along the sidelines cheering us on! It was also my first 100mile + ride (century) and I am glad that I can ride for those who can't and also ride everyday and do what I love for others. I was also especially touched last year by how many people from this listserv donated to me and also shared their stories with me about their connection to MS. We live in a great city! I have some personal connections to MS as my godmother's son and some close family friends suffer from MS and I will be riding for them and all those that make a donation. Pickling & fermenting gardening class

So, for tonight's class on pickling & fermenting, I have: Homemade bread & butter pickles, made last week; Sauerkraut, made a few months ago; Dilly beans, pickled carrots with oregano & peppers, and pickled daikon radishes, made Tuesday night; And the following currently brining: Kimchi; Watermelon rind; Multi-colored ginger pickled peppers. Cub Scouts in the Highland Park Area

Hello Highland Park Neighbors. I’m the Cubmaster for my son’s Cub Scouts pack and would like to invite you to check us out if you are the parent of a boy who will be in 1st grade through 5th grade this fall. We’re having a sign-up night on September 6 at 6:30pm. We meet at the St. Raphael Activity Center at 1154 Chislett Street, Pittsburgh PA 15206 (Morningside). There will be information for the adults and activities for the boys. Cub Scouts learn new skills and make new friends all while having fun. We make the outdoors our classroom as often as we can. If your son likes hiking, games, swimming, camping, fishing, archery, and shooting BBs, or would like to try, we just might be for him! We also do service projects and learn the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. We meet Wednesday evenings during the school year. Please feel free also to send me email, call, or text.
