Vehicle stolen on Avondale Place

My Car was stolen from in front of my house, parked on the street on Avondale Place, just down the hill from the house being flipped. It is a 2010 Maroon Chevy Equinox. It was taken sometime between 4pm yesterday and 11:30 this morning (27 July). If anyone noticed anything please contact me or contact the police. Hi, Everyone, > For many years I was a Judge of Elections in Allegheny County. I also wrote a major article about voting for Ms. Magazine and taught a course at Chautauqua on Voting in the U.S. Today. I did this because I was concerned that current U.S. voting machines could be hacked, which as we now know has proven to be true. Allegheny County is vulnerable because our voting machines have NO paper trail and therefore cannot be audited. A local woman, Michelle Zuckerman-Parker, Ed.D, has a petition that would create a commission of cyber experts and others to help the County determine what is needed to make sure our votes are counted accurately. You can read about this petition here: http://www.post-gazette.com/local/region/2017/07/17/vote-allegheny-county-v… Michelle needs 22,000 signatures from registered voters by July 30 to get this petition on the ballot in the next election. I highly recommend that you sign Michelle's petition. There are many businesses in Regent Square that have copies of the petition you can sign (if a business in Highland Park wants to help too, I can connect you with Michelle). Michelle will also personally visit any homebound HP people who would like to sign the petition. Doors Open Pittsburgh - Call for Volunteers

In 2016 Doors Open Pittsburgh (DOP) provided the opportunity to explore and experience many iconic buildings in Downtown Pittsburgh to 4,000 visitors. This year Doors Open Pittsburgh will include the Downtown, Northside and the Strip District. We will need 400 volunteers to help make this event possible over the weekend of October 7 & 8, 2017. What do you have to do to volunteer? You will be able to request the volunteer role, the day, the shift time, the neighborhood and the building you would like to volunteer for. You would be required to attend a 1-hour training session at a location convenient to you, 1-2 weeks prior to the event. During the event, you will have the option of serving a 9:30a-1p, OR 1p-4:30p shift. Volunteer roles include: Greeter, Docent or Floater * Greeters will "greet" people at the building entrance, track attendance and manage lines. You will NOT be responsible for security. * Docents will present information about the buildings to our Guests. Doors Open Pittsburgh will prepare you with the specific building information you will need to present well. You don't have to have any prior knowledge of the building. * Floaters will be assigned "as needed" during the event.
