Neighbors, Join Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (616 N. Highland Ave.) on Thursday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hicks Chapel Auditorium for a free lecture by Miroslav Volf, Henry B. Wright Professor of Systematic Theology at Yale Divinity School. Volf will speak on Before Embrace: What must happen before people who are estranged from one another can embrace? To ask this question is to inquire into the constitutive elements of reconciliation. He will suggest four such elements and then explore the character of "reconciled existence." Hope you can join us! Howdy neighbors - Greetings from your friendly neighborhood continuing ed director! On Thursday night at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (616 N Highland - the big thing across from Obama), we are privileged to be hosting Miroslav Volf for a lecture that is free and open to the public. http://www.pts.edu/SLC_2017 Why should you care? Volf currently teaches at Yale - but he is Croatian and first came to prominence as he reflected on the aftermath of the Balkan war, asking hard questions about what it means to embrace people with whom we have been in deep conflict. Sounds like a timely topic, n'est-ce pas? Especially if you care about the political, economic, racial, and other social rifts that resist the flourishing of all? Join us. You'll marinate in some good thinking about the hard work of reconciliation and do it in the company of other good people committed to the same. Surely this means leaning towards the side of grace and goodness in our community. Borrow pressure washer

Hey neighbors! Just wondered if anyone would be so kind to lend us use of a gas pressure washer? We would probably only need it for a few hours to spray down our deck, fence and sidewalks. We can pay in beer, cake or work something else out haha!
