Commander Lando's weekly Zone 5 update is below and attached. Incidents from Highland Park include: 4/5/17 Aggravated Assault – 6200 block Stanton Avenue, 10:20 PM. A 21 year-old male victim indicated that he was inside the Sunoco A-Plus on North Highland Avenue when he had a verbal altercation with an unknown male. The victim indicated that he left the store and drove up to Stanton Avenue, where he turned right. Moments later, the same male from the A-Plus fired shots at the victim from his vehicle. The victim was not injured but his car sustained bullet damage. The suspect is a black male, approximately 17, 5'10", 160 Lbs, thin build, with plaits in his hair. He was wearing a pink hoodie. Heth's Run Community Meeting - April 19

PWSA has scheduled a meeting to discuss potential green infrastructure stormwater improvements to Heth's Run. I have no affiliation with PWSA or this project, but my understanding is that it would be located between Morningside and Highland Park, from the zoo parking lot all the way up to the playground on Hampton Street behind St Raphael and possibly all the way to Stanton Avenue (along Heth's Avenue). It would involve the construction of green stormwater infrastructure and would possibly also be accompanied by an expansion of the park and some new trails. This meeting is being scheduled by PWSA so it should be focused on the stormwater aspect, though. >From the flyer: We’re making our rivers cleaner and our neighborhoods greener.
