Commander Lando's weekly Zone 5 update is below and attached. Incidents in Highland Park include: 3/24/17 Aggravated Assault (Shooting) - 800 block N. Negley Avenue, 11:50 PM: Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of N. Negley Avenue for a report of a male shot in the leg. As officers arrived on scene, Chad Gray, 33, of Highland Park, exited the home and told officers he shot the victim. Gray's mother told officers she was celebrating her birthday with her boyfriend when he began disrespecting her. As the argument escalated, Gray retrieved a firearm and began fighting with her boyfriend, eventually shooting him. The victim was struck in the inner left thigh and was taken to the hospital. Gray was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. (53210) 3/25/17 Stolen Vehicle – Hampton Street & Portland Street. Victim reports his 2013 white Toyota RAV 4 (WV plate NLE-676) was stolen while parked on the street. Smell of burning leaves?

Sunday, March 26th and Monday, March 27th we had to close our windows due to something burning outside that smelled like burning leaves. We live between the 1100 and 1200 block of Sheridan on Bryant. Did anyone else notice the smell or know the origin of it? I would like to contact 311 but wanted some additional information.

Free TV and TV Stand

FREE TV (and stand) if anyone is interested, I'm getting rid of my cable and thus my tv. It's old, but works just fine. If you can come and pick it up it's yours. The TV itself is about 24" x 30" and it's pretty heavy so you'd need a helper to carry it out. You could take it with or without the stand, whatever your preference.
