Commander Lando's weekly Zone 5 update is below and attached. Incidents in Highland Park include: 3/24/17 Aggravated Assault (Shooting) - 800 block N. Negley Avenue, 11:50 PM: Officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of N. Negley Avenue for a report of a male shot in the leg. As officers arrived on scene, Chad Gray, 33, of Highland Park, exited the home and told officers he shot the victim. Gray's mother told officers she was celebrating her birthday with her boyfriend when he began disrespecting her. As the argument escalated, Gray retrieved a firearm and began fighting with her boyfriend, eventually shooting him. The victim was struck in the inner left thigh and was taken to the hospital. Gray was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. (53210) 3/25/17 Stolen Vehicle – Hampton Street & Portland Street. Victim reports his 2013 white Toyota RAV 4 (WV plate NLE-676) was stolen while parked on the street.
