Please find the latest report attached.
I should mention that the 8/24/16 shooting on Rippey Street & N. St. Clair Street is actually in East Liberty, not Highland Park. It is a few blocks past East Liberty Blvd.
Also, some people have been having trouble receiving attachments so I have copied our section and Notable Arrests, which are always an interesting read, below the Commander's email. You can scroll down and read it. Let me know if it works.
Best regards,

While approaching the area of the gunfire, they observed a dark blue Nissan Sentra traveling at a high rate of speed on Lincoln Avenue. Detectives conducted a traffic stop, at which point they witnessed the driver stop abruptly then discard a plastic bag from his window. The detectives recovered the bag and found that it contained (1) "brick" (50 bags) of heroin. Additionally, the vehicle had an expired registration and the driver had a suspended license. Detectives arrested Saleen Boyd, 36, of Lincoln-Lemington. It is unknown if this vehicle was related to the call for shots fired in the area. (159305)
8/26/16 at 1:14 PM - 6900 block Chaucer Street (Homewood): PGH SWAT assisted in the serving of a search warrant at this location following an investigation into drug dealing. The SWAT team was utilized after officers received information that there were supposed to be firearms inside the location as well as multiple actors. As SWAT and detectives approached the scene, several individuals fled from the location, but all were apprehended within moments. One of the men was found to have what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his leg. Based on the entry and exit wounds, it was obvious that this individual had a gun in his pocket and discharged it into his leg as he was trying to get away. It is important to note that no officers discharged their weapons at any time during this incident. This suspect was apprehended in a heavily wooded area with rugged terrain and officers were unable to locate the suspect's gun.
During the search of the residence, an AK-47 and a Glock .357 pistol were seized, along with (2) law enforcement-style armored vests and (1) military-style flack jacket, marijuana, suspected MDMA and $690.00. The residence also had a surveillance system with cameras were facing the front of the entrance that live-streamed to a big screen TV in the front room of the home, which is typical for a drug-dealing operation.
The following individuals were arrested: Anderson Marshall Jr, 26, of Penn Hills, Ari Hood-Wilkerson, 25, of Morningside, Noah Wilkerson, 23, of Morningside, Miquann Morgangraham, 18, of Homewood, Monte Johnson, 23, of Highland Park, Jermaine Nelson, 40, of Shadyside
8/27/16 at 6:50 AM - Idlewild Street & Sterrett Street (Homewood): Zone 5 officers Connors and Macioce were on patrol when they responded to an activation of the ShotSpotter system. Upon arriving in the area, officers noticed a man sitting inside of a White Nissan sedan. This male was later identified as Richard Burch, 23, of Homewood. Officers Connors and Macioce approached Burch and asked if he heard any gunshots in the area, and immediately noticed that he appeared nervous and excited. As they spoke with Burch, he began to adjust his waistband and exhibited other signs that he was carrying a firearm. For their safety, the officers asked Burch to step from the vehicle for a pat-down. Upon doing so, the officers located a .38 caliber revolver in Burch's pants. After determining that Burch did not have a license to carry a firearm, officers took him into custody for illegal possession of a firearm. Officers then conducted a search of Burch's vehicle and found several bags of marijuana, over 800 hits of LSD, ammunition, an empty case for a different firearm, and drug paraphernalia. (161023)
8/27/16 at 10:17 PM - 7200 block Upland Street (Homewood): Narcotics & Vice detectives observed a drug deal in progress at this location and attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle. The suspect failed to stop and after a short pursuit, Carl Lindsay, 36, of Homewood, exit the vehicle and fled on foot. Detectives apprehended Lindsay after he fell on some city steps. Detectives subsequently recovered (8) "bricks" of heroin (400 stamp bags). Lindsay also had a warrant out for his arrest. Lindsay was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for an ankle injury. It should be noted that after Lindsay was taken into custody, officers found his 9-year old son in the vehicle. The son was unharmed and was handed over to his mother. (160761)
8/27/16 at 10:49 PM - Auburn Street & Ashley Street (Larimer): Narcotics & Vice detectives responded to a ShotSpotter alert at the above location. While enroute, they received information that a red SUV fired shots at another vehicle and was fleeing the scene. Moments later these detectives observed a red Jeep leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop. The detectives observed a spent shell casing inside the vehicle while talking to the occupants. Detectives subsequently recovered (3) firearms from the vehicle - a Glock model 23, a Glock model 27, and an FN Five Seven pistol. Marijuana was also recovered from the car. Detectives arrested Christopher Nash, 25, of Lawrenceville, and Myles Gore-White, 24, of Stanton Heights. (161516)
