Hello everyone, I have a Cuisinart Food Processor model DCL 8F that I would like to sell. It works perfectly and has not been used very much and has all the parts and attachments. The only problem is the bowl is a little cracked so you might need to reorder that part. It was originally over $100 and I would sell it for just $25. Grandparents on nanny duty at the end of December?

Hi Highland Parkers ~ My daughter’s childcare is closed the last week of the year, so I’ll be in on duty with my 3-month-old grandson in Highland Park from Dec. 27 through Dec. 31. I’d love to connect up with other grandparents who could use an accompanied walk in the brisk weather, or a cup of cocoa at a local cafe that week. Two small dogs running in st on Bryant st

Hi all, There is a brown and black tiny fluffy dog and a brown long hair chihuahua running free on Bryant st just east of Negly. I had my two dogs and my child with me. I tied up my dogs and tried to catch the two dogs as I fear they are going to get run over but they ran into a yard. I can't seem to find where they may have escaped from. If you know the owner of these dogs please alert them that these dogs are in danger. Should I call animal control? Hate to do that Thank you Sent from my iPhone

Hello, Neighbors. For all of you who requested to be informed of the answers I received to my question about contacting members of the electoral college in an effort to persuade them not to vote for Trump on December 19, I just received a gold nugget from Robin Neely: honorthefounders.com has all the information you need to contact electors from states where they are not bound by law to vote for their party's candidate. Pennsylvania is included in this list. We are also on facebook @honorthefounders and (i think) Twitter @honorthefounder Many thanks to Robin! And for those who missed it, I did forward an earlier answer about how to sign a petition on change.org. If you go to the change.orgwebsite, you'll find the petition there. UPDATE ------------------------------------------------------------ ** DO NOT FRET, THE BIKE LANE IS COMING! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ Previously slated for fall 2016, the intended date for the Negley Ave. redesign has been rescheduled to fit with the spring 2017 paving season. The section of Negley Ave. that will undergo this redesign stretches from Stanton Ave. to Howe St. The proposed design is as follows: * Two dedicated lanes with a section of sharrows in Shadyside. * At the Penn/Negley intersection there is a road diet (http://hpelbikeped.us14.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2d6a77bcc046731c61bd…) planned to change traffic lanes and make turning lanes safer for cars, bikes, and pedestrians. * At the Centre/Negley intersection there are plans to put bike boxes and green thermoplast down to make that intersection safer. We were lucky enough to be one of the chosen applicants to get a city bike rack. Thanks to the City of Pittsburgh (http://hpelbikeped.us14.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2d6a77bcc046731c61bd…) and the Livermore (http://hpelbikeped.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2d6a77bcc046731c61bd3…) , it was installed in November, just in time for the winter months! Go check it out in front of The Livermore. ** Penn Circle Update ------------------------------------------------------------ Currently in discussion are plans to redesign Penn Circle. The meeting on November 1st at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church presented four design ideas (http://hpelbikeped.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2d6a77bcc046731c61bd3…) to convert Station Street and Euclid Avenue into two-way streets. This was the first community meeting about the project which is still looking for funding, input, and further planning. Many issues were brought up including street lighting, bike parking, one-way side streets intersecting the main artery, changing the road’s classification, complete street policies, and pedestrian safety among many other topics. Look for more community meetings on the topic to come. Highlights of 2016 included a move to the new location at 5708 Stanton Ave (http://hpelbikeped.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2d6a77bcc046731c61bd3…) , a name change from the "Beatty" Bike Co-op, and a growth in the number of community volunteers. (http://hpelbikeped.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2d6a77bcc046731c61bd3…) To quote their website: "The Sentinel Box, is a bike-mounted piece of hardware that detects and reports close calls for cyclists, or events where a motor-vehicle narrowly passes a bicycle. The device interfaces with the cyclist's smartphone to record GPS location, time of day, passing distance, moving speed of the passing vehicle and a picture of the event. The data is sent to a central database where records can be viewed by users. Our system identifies chronic problem areas, helping riders make the best routing decisions for their comfort level and helping cities make data-driven decisions about where infrastructure should be updated to improve the bicycling experience." For about a month, five neighborhood bike commuters, including a member of the HP/EL Bike/Ped Committee, got to have it installed on their bikes to test and give feedback. Its timely that it is studying traffic during the redesign of Negley Ave., its primary focus of study and research for the month test. The research results should be available soon.
