Marathon Events - THANK YOU!

Good Afternoon! I've seen a few listerv emails talking about Highland Park's marathon events this year and wanted to let everyone know how much your support and signs mean to runners! I ran the marathon last year and was so excited running through Highland Park because everyone was cheering and it really kept me motivated going into mile 21! And I still remember the "No Walk Block!" signs! It meant even more knowing that later that same week I would be closing on my first home in HP, and I thought, "my neighbors are going to be awesome!" :) I hope those who can will make signs and cheer on runners! Thank you in advance!! And as a shameless plug, I'll be running in a relay team this year to benefit The Pittsburgh Promise <http://pittsburghpromise.org/>! Some others expressed interest in the responses we got from the hp list for someone to repair the cracks in our ceiling. Here they are: We have worked with Dan Hinchman on numerous projects, included plaster repair. He does excellent work and is reliable and easy to work with. TWO used Dyson vacuums for sale

Hello! Selling two Dyson vacuums. Both are in great working condition. Yellow DC33 multi floor (for carpet and smooth surfaces like tile and wood) $200 OBO Pink dyson multi floor (not sure which model - I think DC07 - but I can follow up if interested) $150 OBO Dyson also offers instructional support on their website for filter cleaning, re-assembly, parts replacement, etc. Neither of these vacuums have had any operational issues, so parts replacement would probably be a long time from now! The Schola Cantorum of St. Andrew's Church, 5801 Hampton Street, will be singing the traditional Anglican service of Choral Evensong this Sunday, April 19, the Third Sunday of Easter, at 4:30 p.m. Of special neighborly Highland Park interest, our Guest Preacher this Sunday afternoon will be the Rev. B.J. Woodworth, Pastor of "The Open Door: A Missional Church Community," which is the congregation that meets for worship at the Union Project. All invited!

Recommend a roofer?

I went through the listserv archives and haven't been able to find any recent list of recommendations for roofer, only requests. Anyone find someone reliable and reasonable? Especially for a very high and steep roof that so many of us have? We don't need a replacement, just repair as some shingles blew away in last weeks storm. Thank you!Megan pennstmegan(a)yahoo.com
