House Sitting!

Hi, neighbors-- With spring and summer quickly approaching, I know many of you might be finalizing your vacations and will be in need of a house sitter. I'd love to help! I have been a house/dog sitter for many years now for various families (references available upon request). Whether you just need me to swing by and bring in your mail, or stay the whole time you're gone, I can make it happen! I love animals so you don't have to worry about them not receiving enough attention while you're out of town. I can walk your dog, cuddle with your cat, or teach your guinea pig how to talk (just kidding, I'm not that awesome). A little bit about me - I'm a grad student at Pitt, clean, and professional. Hit and run on Bryant st

Hi everyone, I realize this is probably a shot in the dark, but last night (weds) some time between 9pm and 8am Thursday morning, a car hit my car which was parked in front of the Nuin Center on Bryant St. This person knocked my mirror off and scraped the side of my car up pretty good, and just left: no note, nothing. All I know is that it apparently was a red car, because I have red paint on the side of my silver Saturn. If anyone saw anything, please let me know! Its a shame to wake up to this :( Thanks for your help, Anna

Evensong 8 p.m. Thursday February 5

Our regularly scheduled "First Thursday of the Month" 8 p.m. service of Choral Evensong at St. Andrew's will this month observe Candlemas, the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord in the Temple and of the Purification of St. Mary the Virgin, "translated" from Monday, February 2 (which was the 40th Day of Christmastide!). In the service the Choir will be singing the Ave Maria of Tomas Luis de Victoria, the Johannes Eccard anthem, When to the Temple Mary went, and canticles from the service in B Minor by T. Tertius Noble. The service is followed by a musical recital. Sung-Im Kim, piano, and Christopher Scherer, violin, will play the W.A. Mozart Sonata for Piano and Violin KV 481. kung fu/tai chi shoes

Hi, neighbors. I have a pair of EU size 38 cotton-sole black kung fu shoes that I have worn only three times (and never barefoot). They are a bit snug, so I bought a larger size. The 38s are yours for the asking. ( I wear a women's size 8 medium shoe, so the 38s would probably fit you if you wear a 7.5.) Please email to arrange to pick them up. Diane

Old buttons, zippers and wool sweaters wanted

Looking for donations of buttons of all kinds, but preferably old or unusual ones that you might find in your mother or grandmother's button tin. Also looking for donations of metal zippers, new or used, and wool sweaters for a recycling project. The sweaters can be women's or men's, and any size or color is OK but they but need to be at least 50% wool. Some moth holes are even acceptable! Please respond to nicko724693(a)yahoo.com. Thanks!
