Amazing LOCAL Christmas Trees at the old Morningside School! Mike is the owner and incredibly kind. They are open from 11:00 - 9:00ish. They will deliver your tree for you if you live in the area. These trees were cut most recently, unlike the big chain stores trees, so they'll last much longer. Also, they're grown in Uniontown vs. Oregon. That's right a good ol' Pennsylvania tree! Hello, I work at a local elementary school and we are making holiday cards to send to military members through the Red Cross. We are in need of some holiday cards whether they be new, old, used, or without envelopes ASAP (used ones would be cut to create a new card). The deadline to drop them off to the Red Cross is fast approaching. If you have anything lying around and would like to donate them to a local city school, please contact me via email. School looking for a site

The school is in its third year and is looking for a site to rent beginning next summer. We are hoping to find a church or a school with some extra space, preferably with a multi-year lease. > > Three Rivers Village is a democratic free school that accepts students ages 5-18. Because we are a non-traditional school, we do not need classroom type spaces, though we could definitely function in them. The space would be in use primarily from late August to early June. Students are present from 8:30-4 and staff have some limited responsibilities and occasional meetings into the evening. We also host community events several times each year during evenings and/or weekends. We need to house all the school furniture, equipment and related items through the summer and have some access to space for staff during those months. > > Ideally, we would need 4-8 small rooms or fewer larger rooms to house different school activities, such as an art room, pc room, library, science room, etc. It would be wonderful to have access to a kitchen for students' baking and cooking projects and use of a gym and/or outdoor play space. We are hoping for a building in or near the East End so we can be close to our current families, but can be flexible for the right space. Light Up Night is THIS SATURDAY!!

Eastminster Presbyterian Church will host our annual community Light Up Night Christmas Festival on *Saturday, December 5th* from 6:00-9:00 P.M at the church, located at 250 North Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Outside attractions include horse-drawn carriage rides, a live nativity complete with sheep, camels, cow and donkey and the courtyard ablaze with kettle corn, walking tacos, and cookies. Indoors, back by popular demand, the Howard University Gospel Choir from Washington, DC will ignite the stage, along with the Mount Ararat Dance Ensemble and Eastminster's own Praise Team.
