Does anyone have recommendations for a good tax professional that doesn't charge an arm and a leg? Someone who is knowledgeable about the rules for claiming Head of Household status for caring for an elderly parent and/or who knows about special exemptions for teachers would be helpful. Thanks!

July 8th Public Safety Meeting

Greetings and happy July. The July 8th Public Safety Meeting will be held at the Kingsley Association - 6435 Frankstown Avenue at 6:00 p.m. The meeting is being held injunction with Mayor Bill Peduto. Flyer attached. Also, please note: National Night Out is on Tuesday, Auguat 5 this year and our registration page is now open! Please go to pittsburghpa.gov/nno to read about NNO and to register your community's event! Last year, community groups hosted 42 events which were attended by 3,000 City residents. In 2014, let’s increase those numbers! On Tuesday, July 29, there will be a National Night Kick Off event at lunchtime in Market Square. Keep checking the web site for more information. There is no meeting in August. The next meeting is scheduled for September 9th at 7 p.m. at the Union Project. I look forward to seeing you Tuesday and have a safe holiday. Thank you. Diane I.
