question about motorcycles on Stanton Ave / the park

Hello neighbors, Have any of you noticed how crazy it gets after midnight on the stretch of Stanton Avenue that leads into the park? There are an insane amount of motorcycles and sport bikes that open up on the road like it's a racetrack. The noise is INCREDIBLE, I hear it way up on Glenview, and I'm sure other neighbors do too. I have to think this poses some safety concerns as well as just the noise nuisance. I'm wondering if something can't be done to help curb this. Speed bumps, more police presence, etc? Does anyone out there have any advice / ideas on how to potentially handle? Would this be something appropriate to bring up at Zone 5 meetings? Or with the Highland Park Community Council? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

To all of Highland Park, Last Sunday was fantastic! There was a river of people walking along Highland Avenue. Children were giggling on Bryant Street. There were shoppers everywhere. It was a great yard sale, and I had a lot of help. Laura did a great job helping with the listing. Bonnie, Mary, Rob and Lily cheerfully handed out map listings to the shoppers. Most of all, I want to thank Highland Park. This neighborhood, with its diverse population and friendly dispositions, attracts shoppers from all over the region. We don't need to persuade them to visit, only remind them. Monica will share the tidbits about the yard sale and street festival in the monthly newsletter. All I will say is that both participation and attendance were new records since I became involved. The Bryant Street Festival, which Kelly and Bob arranged with such enthusiasm, was a tremendous hit. The music was fun, the food was tasty, and it was great to see everyone come together to visit. I want to remind everyone that the Bryant Street Festival is funded and run by the Highland Park Community Council. If you are not yet a member or do not recall when you last registered, consider renewing you membership. HPCC is involved in many activities to better the quality of life in our community and can only succeed with the active participation of the residents of Highland Park.
