House share in charming 3 bedroom duplex by the park - MUST LOVE DOGS!

Hi Neighbors - I'm in my early 30's and looking for a roommate to share my 3 bedroom apartment in Highland Park starting August 1st. I have lived here for the past 7 years with my large lovable dog and prefer to have just one other roommate and leave the third bedroom as a guest room to give everyone more space. The apartment has a lot of character and color featuring a living room, dining room, built ins, a kitchen with a breakfast nook, a large bathroom, half of a basement for storage as well as a driveway and garage in back. The neighbors are wonderful, the park is at the end of the block and the landlord lives down the street. I work as a therapist and a local producer since graduating with my masters and would like a relatively peaceful living situation where there is mutual respect - for each other, for the space and for my dog, where we can occasionally share a meal or a beer but also give each other space. I'm an artistic type, I enjoy cooking and gardening, getting out to local music shows and gallery crawls. I am not into loud crazy parties, though I do occasionally enjoy having some friends over. I am looking for someone who is responsible, laid back, mature (not lots of drama), able to pay the half rent plus half of gas, electric and cable/internet and does not have a significant other staying over every night of the week. It's also important to me to have someone who is comfortable with my dog and occasionally willing to help out with him as a part of living here. Futon for sale

Hey neighbors: We have a futon for sale. The mat is navy and was purchased new seven months ago for $129; still looks new. The frame is a super simple wood and there are no hooks or bars to hold the mat upright so it's always going to look a little slouchy. You can have the whole shebang for $75 obo. *Backyard Composting* Wednesday, June 25, 6:30 PM @ East End Food Co-op Learn how to expand your recycling efforts to include kitchen scraps and yard debris, while simultaneously making a natural, home-made soil conditioner for your lawn and gardens – compost! Composting helps reduce waste, plus it’s easy and enjoyable to do. This workshop will thoroughly cover the importance and benefits of composting, the process of setting up a compost pile, and how to perform proper maintenance. Participants will receive an 80-gallon composting bin in the workshop and learn how to use the finished compost. Hosted by Nancy Martin of the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC).
