Hi-my wife and I (both 72) are “reverse snowbirds”. We come to the Highland Park area in the winter because our kids live here, and the winters are (somewhat) milder than at home in Northern Michigan. We are trying to find folks who are gone in the winter and would like to have someone responsible in their homes while they are away. We are open to any combination of renting/housesitting or even buying, and we love plants and pets. At present we have a very workable rental, and will be glad to provide the owner's name and phone # as a reference. Right now we are just testing the waters to see what else is out there. Hello, I am ISO several pieces of furniture: I like a square table. It must be able to seat 8 total (two on each side), be regular height (not elevated). Wood is best. I need a glider rocker with glider stool. A comfortable one for baby nursing. A wood vanity table that is flat/one level across the top. A high-boy/tall men's dresser. I like older, wood furniture that is well built. It is okay with me if the furniture needs refinishing. I like to refinish. I am more concerned with quality of wood and design and build. I have for sale or trade in return several items: Pedestal table with two leaves and 6 chairs. Amish made, oak, regular height. Very well made. (I just dont like that it is rectangular. I prefer square.) Teak wood shelf with sliding doors. Can be used for office or linens, etc. Two shelves high, on each side. Two captains beds. Twin size. Two levels of draws and shelves under mattress, makes bed elevated off of ground. Has bed slats under mattress; box spring not necessary. Twin mattresses can be included. Selling my NordicTrack C2400 treadmill. Only used a handful of times. Purchased new from the Sears Outlet a few years ago. Works great. $300/obo Pickup in Morningside. You haul. The treadmill is very heavy and in an upstairs room. I will not deliver, but can help you get it out of the house.
