Unpacked an amazing collection of baby clothes today for the Third Church Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 5 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Clean, barely worn, sizes newborn to toddlers and some older, nothing more than a dollar, most for less. For some years now we of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Highland Park, have enjoyed sharing the annual observance of the Feast of St. Francis, with prayers and blessings for pets and their families, with our friends of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Oakland. Although it would ordinarily be "our turn" this year, the complications of our renovations schedule have suggested a bit of revision of the usual pattern. And so: the service will be held in 2014 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, corner of Morewood Street and Center Avenue in the Oakland neighborhood, on Saturday, October 5, at 2 p.m. Dogs both extroverted and shy, curious cats, fish in bowls and bird in cages, bunnies and iguanas --all of course appropriately controlled as needed! I don't want to leave Highland Park but I need to find a new living space. I am a middle aged adult women who works full time plus. I am organized, neat and quiet non smoker. I can only afford $650 per month unless some utilities were included than I could possibly go higher. I would like 2 bedrooms as I have a daughter who will be coming home from college for holidays.
