[Highland Park] Yolo Colorhouse Paint for Sale

This is a message on behalf of the Nuin Center. We have a 5 gallon container of Yolo Colorhouse paint (Color: Grain 02) that we aren't going to use. It's an incredibly saturated, lovely, sunny yellow....too bright for the space we were painting. Eggshell finish and probably 4.5 gallons left. We purchased it for $169.00. Yolo Colorhouse paints are extremely green, non-toxic paints developed by a women-owned company in Portland, Oregon. They sell their interior paints online at Home Depot, which is where we got ours. Hello Highland Park List Serv, I am looking for occasional babysitting for my 17 month old daughter, Ava. We live in Highland Park and Ava is very sweet, funny, and easy going. As of right now we have two specific dates we are looking at 8/31 for a wedding (6p-12m) and 9/2 for the Pitt/FSU game (3p-10p)--My husband and I both have undergrad and grad degrees from both schools:) . Plus future dates not yet determined for date nights with my husband, etc. Also Ava is a great sleeper she goes down at 8pm without any issues and sleeps through the night. [Highland Park] TV's, computers, etc. on curbs

Hello, I am getting slightly annoyed at the number of tv's and computer monitors left on the curbs (some streets have as many 8 at times), so I researched what the procedure is and found the following law. Not only are they an eyesore but sometimes they have broken glass and other harmful materials scattered about which people's children or pets can step on. I suppose when a property owner has tenants that move out - the burden is then on the landlord to remove the electronics and follow the proper procedure but I'm not sure I've heard of anyone being fined yet. There have been TV's on Sheridan for months. Are there any persons or groups responsible for reporting this or does anyone have a procedure that they've used that was effective? I'm open to suggestions or experiences. Thanks Celeste Sheridan Important Recycling Information Electronic Equipment Disposal - Effective Jan 1, 2013, the City will no longer collect televisions, computers and computer peripherals at the curb. This is because the State of Pennsylvania has banned these items from landfills (see the Covered Devices Recycling Act (CDRA), Pa Act 108 of 2010). Computer peripherals include monitors, keyboards, mice, external drives, printers and other devices exclusively plugged into a computer. Do not place these items at the curb or you may be cited. These items must be taken to an electronics retail store or collection location where they will be collected for recycling purposes. For more information on the new CDRA Act or a more comprehensive list of recyclers, please visit the DEP website at www.dep.state.pa.us . Telephone Book Recycling - city residents may now recycle telephone books curbside on scheduled recycling days. Residential and Apartments (5 or less units) Recycling All residents of the City of Pittsburgh must separate recycle items from household trash and package them for bi-weekly recycling curbside collection or take them to a City recycling drop-off center.
