Hi Neighbors, It seems that every time we put a metal object out for garbage, there is a scrapper that will take it. Does anyone have a "scrapper" that they know personally? [Highland Park] Missing Cat

We had an electrical fire this weekend, and have had workers and inspectors and all manner of chaos happening for the past few days. At some point, our black cat, Arthur, got out. We live on Wellesley by Euclid. Arthur is a timid and skittish, but very affectionate and talkative, little guy. He does not have a collar, but he is microchipped. He's all black apart from a small white patch at his chest. We've had to vacate our apartment for the time being because of ongoing electrical issues and a terrible roof leak, but we're staying in the North Side. On behalf of the St. Andrew's Church Adult Programs Committee I'm very pleased to announce that Jim Cunningham, Artistic Director of WQED-FM and host of the WQED-FM Weekday Morning Show and of the nationally-syndicated Sunday evening Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra broadcast, has accepted our invitation and will be our Featured Speaker at the 16th Annual St. Andrew's Lecture at 8 p.m. on Friday evening, October 18, 2013. We don't have a specific title for his presentation yet, but Jim is and has been for many years a key figure and leader in our region's cultural and arts community--with of course special emphasis on the Pittsburgh classical music scene. We'll look forward to hearing about his perspectives on the present and the future of music and the arts in Pittsburgh . . . .
