[Highland Park] University of Pittsburgh: LIFT STUDY

Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University are looking for volunteers to participate in LIFT, a research study designed to see how people's views of their past, present, and future well-being change over time and if this influences health and healthcare cost outcomes. You may qualify to participate in the study if: * You are age 50 years or older. * See any UPMC primary care provider. If you participate in LIFT you will complete a yearly questionnaire about your well-being and other aspects of your life. Participation will take about 1 hour each year. You can even complete your questionnaire over the internet. If you choose to complete your survey over the internet you can even save your progress and come back to it if interrupted. There are no direct benefits to you for participating in LIFT. We hope the knowledge we gain in LIFT will help us better understand the relationship between well-being and health. There will be incentives offered for survey completion. Participants will be paid $10 for each questionnaire you complete. We would love to hear from you! [Highland Park] Need Movers 7/27 or 7/28

My room mate and I are looking for independent movers with a 14' box truck to move us next Saturday or Sunday, July 27th or 28th. The move is all of 5 blocks within Highland Park. We plan to move most of the smaller items/drawers/kitchen etc.. The movers would be doing the couches, beds and other large pieces of furniture. My guess is the job would run around 3 hours, two round trips, and require 2 to 3 movers. Any referrals? Thanks! Lauren m 650-245-6982

[Highland Park] Saturday yoga at Union Project

Hi neighbors! I'm super excited to begin teaching a new yoga class in Highland Park at the Union Project and wanted to share about it. Attached is a flier. The class will meet from 9:30-10:30 every Saturday morning in the side yard (back side of building, opposite side of Stanton). In the event of rain, we'll meet in the atrium of the Union Project inside. The class is drop-in donation based, $10 suggested and it begins this Saturday. I sure hope to see you there!!
