The traditional and always fun for all ages Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner and Mardi Gras Party will take place in Brooks Hall of St. Andrew's Church on Hampton Street, beginning to serve at 5:30 p.m. Wear a Mardi Gras costume! Games follow, with the crowning of the King and Queen of the Mardi Gras! No charge for dinner, though our free-will donations are always appreciated . . . . [Highland Park] Pilates at Golden Thread Studio

Hello Neighbors! Our first 5 week session of mat Pilates at Golden Thread Studio in East Liberty is going to be wrapping up soon and we will be starting another round! This time, we will be offering two different types of mat Pilates classes. Monday mornings at 6:30am will be open level mat, meaning we will flow through the movements with less breaking down of exercises. This will be a good class for those with some previous experience with Pilates, but still appropriate for beginners, too. Thursdays at 6:30am will be a fundamentals of Pilates class offering more explanation and breaking down of the exercises and more time for questions. This is an ideal class for those who are brand new to Pilates, or those who are experienced and just want more explanation on specific movements. For those who aren't feeling an early morning class, we're going to be offering a class on Fridays at 5:30pm. This class will most likely be open level, with time to break down exercises as we need to. We need a minimum of 3 people in order for the classes to happen, and we will be maxing out at 6 people, so you get lots of personalized attention. The next 5 week session will begin February 18 (the Thursday 5 week session will begin on February 28) and the cost is $75 for 5 weeks (one class per week) or $20 per class as a drop in.
