[Highland Park] The law of attraction and believing you deserve good things

The law of attraction and treating yourself right. The art of treating yourself right....and believing you deserve it.Sometimes I am amazed by how easy it is to believe one doesn't deserve good things. For myself, I have been battling with a lot of core beliefs about what success and happiness mean since becoming a massage therapist. Some examples would be believing that in order to be successful one has to be miserable working at a job one hates. Or, having studied art and having learned about struggling artists who died young, but made the kind of art that makes your soul cry with joy when you see it, that in order to be creative and taken seriously as a creative person, one must struggle and be dirt-poor. There are many more I could spout off right now, but I would rather tell you about the things that I have started to do for myself in order to let the universe and the law of attraction know that I WANT GOOD THINGS AND I WANT TO BE SUPER SUCCESSFUL. They are not great, life altering things. They are really quite simple. Some examples would be: having on-going trades with a yoga studio and an acupuncturist and taking the time to have those be a part of my life...not to mention the great relationships I've developed with the people in both of those places, not feeling guilty when my son is at his dad's for the weekend and I get to have a date night at a really great restaurant(Udipi <http://www.udipicafepittsburgh.com/> in Monroeville, just to name one), getting regular massage, taking the time to cook a really healthy and super tasty meal, just for me, taking an extra hour out of my day to walk to the grocery store instead of drive, writing letters(yes, actual letters) to friends in far away places, giving myself weekly facials in my kitchen, going to bed at 8pm because I can and it feels so good, going to the art museum with opera on my walkman(yes, I still have a walkman) and spend a half hour in a beautiful zone where only the art and I exist.....do you get the picture? So many of us get so caught up in the rush of the day with work and family and obligations that we forget to take the little extra time to really take care of ourselves.....and WE ALL DESERVE IT! And the amazing thing about this is, the more we start to treat ourselves this way, the more the people around us start to treat us this way and the more amazing things keep opening for us.
