Jett will transport you through and beyond the death experience by a sequence of songs entitled “The Elegant Curmudgeon,” which tells the story of an Old Man facing death with brutal anger, deepest mourning, and his own slice of humor. The Old Man then travels beyond this world and returns to *answer a summons by death incarnate as a violin player, who calls him to join in a graveyard dance.* This Music performance *contains neither zombies nor pumpkin flavored anything.* After the performance, audience members will join in a graveyard dance of their own to celebrate a *Pittsburgh version of the Mexican Holiday of “El Dia de Los Muertos.”* Singers of the East End Song Studio will sing with the East End Song Studio band, offering *swing dances, polkas,* and other dance songs to celebrate the memory of our own relatives who have passed on. The Highland Park Community Council is hosting a District 7 City Council Seat Candidates Forum on Thursday, October 17 from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the Union Project, 801 N. Negley Ave. All five candidates for Patrick Dowd's seat will be participating. The five candidates are: Tony Ceoffe of Lawrenceville Tom Fallon of Morningside Deb Gross of Highland Park David Powell of Morningside James Wudarczyk of Bloomfield The event will be facilitated by the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh. Carol Emerson, past president of the League, will be the moderator. Hi neighbours, I will be offering commissioned watercolor portraits in the style below for the holidays, I think they make perfect gifts for grandparents that often say "I don't want anything, I have all I might want already". Because they are traditional art, each image is unique, even if it is based off of the same photo. The fee will be of $30 for Highland Park parents if you save me the trip to the post office, this is for a single child per page, approx. 8-10x11-13". Hi All, I am selling my Ikea Tolga wardrobe. It provides a lot of extra storage for folded and hanging clothes, 2 hanging bars, shelves, and extra storage on top. The curtains slide across the front or you can take them off. It is meant to lean against a wall. I have the wall mounting hardware, but I never used it.
