If you have any experience with someone that you can recommend, it would be much appreciated. [Highland Park] Cold kitty

Hi HP'ers. Meet Raya, you've heard her story before. Her owner died young and suddenly and Raya is now left in the cold (literally). We have some carriers with blankets etc. and she has been getting fed but this pretty girl needs a warm home - even if temporarily. I brought her to the shelter but they couldn't guarantee that she wouldn't be put down so I brought her back. She's been traumatized and i don't think she will make it through a rough winter. She is a tiny, very sweet kitty who gets along with other animals. I know she is spayed and from what I hear, the previous owner was an awesome pet owner and she is current on shots, etc. Because she is so tiny, I can't tell how old she is. Hello Neighbors! I still have a few signs for Bill Peduto and a couple for Deb Gross in my front yard. Feel free to take them for your own yard...less than 2 weeks till election day! Also, I have ceramic tiles, all different, that I would like to part with. There are some 1"x1"(probably about 150), 4"x4" (around 30) and 8"x8" (10) and 3 that are 12"x6". All are a natural tone finish ...green, gray, tan, brown, etc. really pretty but I think 15 years is long enough to try and find a use for them. Let me know if you want to check them out! [Highland Park] REMINDER: Highland Park Community Council Halloween Parade & Volunteers Needed

Just a reminder about the Halloween parade this Sunday. Volunteers are desperately needed to help judge the contest. The weather forecast says sun and a temperature near 50, so we're still planning on meeting outside near the fountain. Highland Park Community Council Halloween Parade When: Sunday, October 27, 1:30pm to 3:30 pm Where: Highland Park Victorian Fountain, main entrance to the Park Your little ghouls, goblins, princesses and princes are invited to the annual Highland Park Community Council Halloween Parade. Local children of all ages are invited to join us in costume for the Halloween parade and costume contest. Prizes will be awarded in a number of different categories and delicious snacks will be provided. We also need volunteers to help judge the costume contest and fill out certificates. The parade is being held the Sunday before Halloween, since Oct. 31 falls on a school night and we wanted to give everyone maximum trick or treating time before bedtime. No sign-up required.
