[Highland Park] Animal in attic update

Thanks to all the neighbors who responded to my request about animal control. I've tallied the recommendations below. We contacted the City's animal control department, and a team of two of them were at our house within half an hour. After viewing the entry point in the attic and hearing the description of the noises, they concluded that it was a raccoon rather than a squirrel. They told us to call first thing in the morning to request a large trap. The services are free, and there is only a $40 refundable deposit for the trap. Called right at 7:00 this morning, and the trap was delivered at 8:20. Quick lesson on how to set it, and we're good to go although we didn't hear it up there last night. Kudos to the City for offering these services, and to the employees who took our calls and came to the house. After we catch it, we are to call the City for removal. Then we'll contact Ken Knight to check the damage and make the repairs because clearly my first patch job did not hold. Well, if you've ever wanted to participate in storage wars, this is your chance. As some of you know, I have started graduate school. That means I no longer have time to sell antiques and collectibles as I have been doing part-time for many years, but I still have a storage unit that is still fairly full of antiques and collectibles. So I decided to sell the contents of this unit as a lot. Here are some of the things that are in the unit: perfume bottles, other glass bottles, games, toys, puzzles, some records, lots of sheet music (large format and small), a few movie posters, a few books and magazines, postcards and greeting cards, some porcelain, some miniatures, a print or two, a good bit of paper ephemera of various sorts. I'm not sure what else. Because of allergies, I haven't been able to go through everything as I wanted. I've attached two pictures and more can be seen at http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/atq/3532305044.html. I'm offering it all including the two shelving units for the best offer over $200 (cash). What's in there is worth a lot more. Everything has to be out of the storage unit on Saturday, January 12 although if you wanted to rent the unit after me, you could do that. The unit is 5' x 5' and is climate controlled. It is close to Highland Park, and the manager is a great guy. You could rent the unit for the $50/month plus tax which is what I pay because I've been there a fairly long time (their current price for units that size that are climate controlled is $63/month). Highland Park neighbors - in case you missed the controversy over the closing and move to sell Pittsburgh's Schenley School, please see below. Signatures on a petition are still needed. Pennsylvania Auditor General Jack Wagner included observations about Schenley in the cover page of his audit released on Monday.
