A friend of ours is moving back to Pittsburgh, to be closer to family, and is looking for an 2 bedroom apt or rowhouse to rent, starting in early Oct. Pet-friendly is a must as two cats will be moving with her, and she would like to get a dog after settling in. The 2nd bedroom will be used as a home office/guestroom, so it can be small. She's looking in several East End neighborhoods -- Highland Park, Regent Square, Point Breeze, East Liberty - and will be visiting this weekend to look at some places she's seen listings for. Dear neighbors - One of my two chickens, Scarlet, is missing. She has brown feathers and a long red neck, lending to her breed, a turken. She looks she is missing feathers in the next area. She's super shy but very sweet and her pal Coco and I are worried. Please let me know if you see her, I've attached a picture. Overturn our hard won battle to get fracking banned within our city’s limits? No way Mayor. Pittsburgh was the FIRST major city in the world to enact a fracking ban. If you've been thinking about signing up for a Music Together class with First Notes, this is a great time to follow through! Classes at the Wilkins School Community Center start this Saturday, September 15, and classes at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts start Wednesday, September 19. Plus, we still have plenty of space in the Thursday morning class at 10 at Shining Light Prenatal Education Center at 3701 Butler Street - a beautiful storefront location that's near lots of really great places for a cup of coffee and grownup conversation after class.
