[Highland Park] Zone 5 Citizens Public Safety Council meetings - Summer 2012 schedule

The Zone 5 Citizens Public Safety Council meets on the second Tuesday of every month (except August and December) at 7:00pm at the Union Project at 801 N. Negley Ave. (intersection with Stanton Ave.) *June Meeting* Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 12th at 7pm at the Union Project and will be a standard meeting with a Commander's Report and Q&A. *July Meeting - PLEASE READ* The July meeting will be on Tuesday, July 10th at 7pm, but will NOT be at the Union Project. This will be a special meeting at the Allegheny County 911 Center in North Point Breeze. Representatives will teach attendees how 911 operators do their jobs and how we as citizens can most effectively convey information to them to get assistance. The Zone 5 Council only visits the 911 Center once every few years, so please mark your calendar if you are interested in this topic. Location and RSVP details forthcoming. *August Meeting - NO MEETING* The Zone 5 Council does not meet August (or December). Meetings will resume in September. It was a great day for our community at the Highland park Yard sale and Bryant street festival yesterday. Neighbors and visitors alike came out and enjoyed the day. Our great restaurants supplied wonderful food and the vendors put on some fun and interesting booths. Who's Your Brother had a booth at the festivities and got to talk with many people. Thanks to one of our supporters Hill Jordan we got to bring our message to the stage twice yesterday. One lady stopped by our booth and donated the last of the clothes she brought to sell that had not been taken. Our video crew was on hand interviewing residents and spreading the message of community. Others stopped by just to hear about what we were doing and learn more about how they can help others in the community. Some signed up for our exciting mobile app contest at www.whosyourbrother.com/contest where you can win prizes like I Pads and Kindle Fires through Aug 30th or bought tickets to one of our fund raising events scheduled for June and July. The first event will be Thurs June 28th at the Eclipse Wine bar in Lawrenceville 6-10 pm with Live jazz with Hill Jordan. The second will be our family friendly bowling event held at Arsenal lanes in Lawrenceville sun July 22nd from 4-7 pm. I have tickets available for both events if you contact me we can connect and I will get to meet you prior to the event. 412 328-2310. All of the people that I had visiting from out of the area wanted to move here after seeing our community in action. Hello Neighbors- We didn't have enough time to wander around all the yard sales on Sunday. Does anyone has any leftover childrens clothes, particularly pajamas and summer clothes for 24m-2T girls or 12 month summer boys clothes? Before you take things to Goodwill or pack away for next years yard sale, could I come take a look?
