My husband and I are 30 and have bought a house in Highland Park. Due to needed renovations, the house will not be move-in ready until November. Our current lease is up August 1 and we need temporary rental housing in the interim. We are easy tenants who both work full-time, are non-smokers and have no pets. The Youth Ambassador Application deadline has been extended to June 8th. Please spread the word about this excellent leadership opportunity for high school students! This year Ambassadors will be awarded a stipend of $150 for completing the program. Applications can now be filled out on-line. To learn more about the program visit the TRCF website. High School Ambassadors will learn how to lead fun interactive workshops for 4th-6th graders on diversity, inclusion, and anti-bullying. Trainings will be held on Tuesdays at the East Liberty Library and workshops will be held at Pittsburgh YMCA camp locations. I became overly ambitious in my supposed sewing talents, and took on a project that is more difficult and time-consuming than I thought. I am looking to have 4 slipcovers made for my padded dining room chairs because commercially made ones do not fit (too small). So if you are interested in making a little extra money and would be willing to take on this project for me, please let me know.
