[Highland Park] Kids' July 4 Parade in the Park

The Highland Park Community Council Kids' Committee is hosting its annual 4th of July Parade. Kids of all ages are invited to decorate their bicycle and then show off their handy work with a parade around the fountain. When: July 4 at 10 a.m. Where: Highland Park -- meet near the fountain Supplies to decorate bikes, tricycles, wagons and anything else on wheels will be provided, as well as balloons and snacks. Volunteers to help the little ones with decorations and to fill helium balloons are needed. We are also accepting donations of red, white and blue decorations for the children to use to decorate their bikes. Please contact Teri Rucker via e-mail at 412-482-2533 if you are interested in volunteering or have something donate. Hello Highland Parkers! You've all been wonderful towards past buying requests, so I thought I would give it a go again. I'm planning on embarking on a backpacking trip across the United States. I'm looking to purchase a small, compact/easily compressed, lightweight sleeping bag (I'm 5 ft. 3 and won't need anything below 32 degrees), and a very lightweight, small, and easy to set-up 1-person tent. Also interested in any other random items you may have to offer such as: water proof cover for 60 L hiking backpack, camping pillow, tent hammock, tarp, etc. Anyone have any of these items that have been sitting in your storage room just waiting for the perfect moment to be sold? The only thing that is missing is the remote for the TV, however, I do have a universal remote that works just as well. I have to sell as I am moving and this TV is too big for my living space.
