Dear Neighbors, I am looking for gently used soccer cleats, shin guards and socks for my son who is going to try a week of soccer camp. He currently wears a size 7 shoe (not sure if cleats are sized the same way). Let me know if you have any you are looking to get rid of. The camp starts next week (March19th). Thanks! Caroline

I want to let everyone know that Deborah Brooks, a very experienced mindfulness practicioner / teacher and nutritionist, will be offering the following workshop in April, 2012: *Mindful Eating for Weight Control : * - 4 session series begins on April 4th (April 4, 11, 18, and 25th) from 7-8 pm at the Squirrel Hill JCC. - Cost: $50 for JCC members for the series, $65 for non-members - Course will cover the basics of mindfulness practice and focus on the ways to use this practice to increase awareness of and to change unhelpful eating patterns and habits. This month, our featured speaker will be Brenda Smith from Nine Mile Run, and she will be talking with our community about actions we can take to make a difference relative to water runoff into the sewer systems. For girls going into grades 1 through 6, Children of the New World Choral Camp is a week-long camp of choral music! Students will learn songs from North, South, and Central America in multiple languages and styles. They will also play musical games, participate in daily arts and crafts activities, and meet new friends. The camp is geared towards girls in Grades 1 through 6. It is run by the Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts (PSCA) and the leaders of the Oakland Girls Choir (OGC) as well as members of the Oakland Girls Tour Choir.
