Hello Highland Park, we are having trouble finding a wallpaper remover - certainly a job nobody wants to do, but there are folks out there who do it. If you know of anyone, or a painter who uses someone specifically for wallpaper removal, we would love to hear of it. Similarly, any recommendations for good and reasonable re-upholstering. Fellow HP'ers, I know many engaged in the HP listserve are entrepreneurs, work in non-profit organizations, and are business/community leaders in our respective organizations. As culture continues to shift from a top down marketing structure to a flatter and consumer based relationship structure via social media, the work of keeping up with new sites or platforms can be reeling. For instance, did you know that 48 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube *every minute*? Who is driving the conversation in current society? Questions we'll address: Does it matter for a sole proprietorship or small non-profit in the same way it does for larger organizations with employees? What if we're doing it, and doing it wrong? Is there a "right" way? And how is it different from my own personal social media use? Facebook, blogs, #Twitter, mobile apps; how can one know what to use? (Bring *your* questions as well; this is not a static dialogue!) Approaches, platforms, how to determine which to use, etc. will all be in dialogue this evening over a glass of red(!). We'll start with the basics, covering social media as a whole and what it means for organizations to be on- (or not on-) line. Thursday, Nov. 15th from 7-8.30pm at CatapultPGH coworking space at 5139 Penn Ave., Garfield. Cost will be $15 for the evening, or $20 at the door, which includes the wine. #FTW!
