Just when I thought I was done: working Black & Decker toaster oven, wooden frame; large glass jars; #4 coffee filters; manicure set; Twister game, small bag of tiny skateboard toys; white shelf/shoe holder. I will probably add to this throughout the day so stop by anytime (just leave my furniture!) 5541 Beverly Place, off N. [Highland Park] Park Bruges Neighborhood Tasting Series this Monday November 19th

Hello Neighbors, Our next Neighborhood Tasting Night is approaching this Monday November 19th. This month the theme will be a Tailgate Taste-Off featuring Pittsburgh's Full Pint brewery versus Great Lakes Brewing of Cleveland paired with regional cuisine. The tasting which includes 3 small food items and 6 4oz tastes of the beers is $35 per person. We will also have a limited menu available and everything at a la carte prices. The menu - House-made Pierogies - Merguez sausage and potato filling (paired with White Lightening & Dortmunder Gold) Lake Erie Fish Fry - Perch fried in Nosferatu beer batter with spicy lemon slaw (Chinookie IPA & Nosferatu) Foster's Kielbassa N Kraut - Pumpernickel bread & house-made stout mustard (Night of the Living Stout & Edmund Fitzgerald) We will be open from 6pm-9pm. No reservations, just come on in!

The Waldorf School of Pittsburgh in neighboring Friendship is once again having its annual winter greens sale fundraiser. Please take a look at the attached brochure and email me if interested in purchasing. The deadline for orders is Monday, November 26, so I will be making the rounds to collect checks (made out to the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh) on Sunday, November 25. [Highland Park] Beautiful, long, low shelves - side board or behind couch or entertainment system

Hi, All, I have a lovely set of shelves that I would love to keep, but, after doing some rearranging, can't really fit in my house. They are currently holding lots of kid stuff, but previously had our entertainment system and would be most lovely in a dining room as a side board or in a large office for books. The stuff on the shelves is not for sale. I would love to get $30 for the unit, but am open for offers or if someone has a real need for it and cannot afford to purchase it, and really want it out of the house ASAP. It is 86 inches long x 22 deep (at the outside of the curve in the middle) x 26 high. I have 2 heavy cardboard wardrobe storage boxes in excellent condition. Approximately 20 X 24X 46". They have a heavy metal hanging bar. In Staples a set of 3 of these sells for $40. I am glad to sell my 2 for $8 for the pair. Means you don't have to fold, unfold and, heaven forbid, iron when moving or changing seasons in your closet. Fold flat for storage when not in use. Similar to image below. "Perfect balance is an illusion-- just try for upright."

I can only relate what has occurred between Josiah Leisher Landscaping and ourselves---The Cato's, Wellesley Avenue. In 2011, we hired Josiah to landscape a rear slope of our property. He measured, submitted plans, discussed plans, revised plans, we signed contracts, work proceeded, payments were made, progress continued, work was completed, and final payment was made to everyone's satisfaction. The most beautiful Christmas tree we have ever purchased was delivered (a first) in 2011. In 2012, we had our front yard landscaped by Josiah Leisher. Had we not been extremely satisfied and pleased with his work the first time around would we have engaged his services again? I don't think so. Sincerely, Maureen D. Cato

Dear Neighbors It is looking like lovely weather for a tree planting on Saturday! If you can help out, please sign up at: http://www.paconserve.org/300/form-test Meet at 1001 N Negley Ave at 8:45 am on November 17. We'll start with coffee and hot apple cider and end at about noon with lunch. Kids 8 or older can work with a responsible adult and get community service credit.
