I am looking for a lifeguard for the Dilworth swim program that we will hopefully be running at Obama afterschool for an hour through the first week in December. Pay is $10.00/hr. Must be able to provide all up to date clearances (lifeguard, CPR, 1st Aid). Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who is interested. Thank you!

Hi Highland Park! An update to the request for window coverings borrowed for a night. Someone suggested table clothes could work and might be easy to borrow as well. That would be great! My daughter is looking for 6 king size black sheets or table clothes to black out the windows for her middle school dance at Ellis. My son has a barely used beyblades stadium with three colored inserts for the bottom for sale for $5. These can retail for >$20, unbelievably. It's about 3 feet tall and has a little hole in the neck and has lost a few bean bag beans but could be easily fixed if I weren't so lazy. It also has a little paint on an ear. Otherwise good shape, but huge. Cat household.

Hey, HPers! I've been working with Diane Morgan, an author of cookbooks who originally hails from Pittsburgh. Although she now resides in Portland Oregon, she is doing a tour to promote her newest cookbook, Roots. http://dianemorgancooks.com/?post_type=cookbooks&p=329 We have arranged for Diane to be at the Pittsburgh Public Market on Friday, November 2nd for a "Lunch with the Author." Kevin Costa, butcher extraordinaire and co-owner of Crested Duck Charcuterie, will be preparing a meal using recipes in the cookbook, including such wonderful things as fresh, homemade ginger ale, a raw beet slaw with fennel, tart apple & parsley, creamy turnip soup with greens and rustic apple and rutabaga tarts.
