At the same time, we are on the tail end of many summer items. Tomatoes, peppers and eggplants are still around, but not for long.  Corn is all done.  So get these items while you can. David Lagnese ***************************************************** The Update  Greenawalt Farm Bryan Greenawalt made his  trip to Somerset County today and came back with a nice haul.  Items this week include fall items such as squash (many varieties) as well as pumpkins and gourds.  Other items include brussel sprouts, zucchini, yellow squash,  eggplant (several varieties), onions, swiss chard, celery, and several varieties of peppers.  Two varieties of radishes- diakon and red champions.  Bryan has several varieties of regular and sweet potatoes.  The regular potatoes include some beautiful red and purple flesh potatoes. This week he will have two new varieties- a white potato and a yellow flesh potato. Special items this week include ground cherries and cabbage sprouts. Bryan will have cherry and grape tomatoes, but not for long. A frost this week finished off a lot of the tomatoes in Somerset County.  Green tomatoes which can be used for pickling will be avialable.  Finally, Bryan said he picked up some beautiful brocolli and cauliflower.   Fruit wise-  the apples include matsu, red delicious, yellow delicious, honeycrisp, galas, and others as well as bosch pears.  Brian will have a small amount of local strawberries. Do you remember the shelling beans Bryan had earlier in the season?  Well he has some of the same beans that are shelled and dried.   They are sold in small bags and are every bit as good as the fresh version.   J.L. Hand-made items from Uganda Margaret will be there on Saturday with many hand made items.  BANDY Woodworks BANDY Woodworks..Is a local business that makes children's toys and games, custom furniture, and other great items for the home (wine racks, etc).  They use local reclaimed and salvaged wood and non-toxic finishes.  Their booth is on the right when you walk in the front door, directly across from Greenawalt's.  Preview some of the items carried at the market by visitingwww.bandywoodworks.etsy.com. Note: they are almost sold out of cutting boards.  If you have been thinking about getting one, now is the time; they might not have any new ones made before the holidays.  Kew Park Coffee Bar We are still working with TJ and Phil from Commonplace Coffee Roasters to find the optimla roast for our Kew Park Jamaican beans.  We have been doing test roasts over the past few weeks, and tasting.  We think we are pretty close, so we sent a batch today to Peter Williams who grows the coffee to see what he thinks.  I will have some at the market this Saturday for tasting.   So stop by and give it a sip. In the juice department we still have fresh made grape juice that was made with Erie County Concords.  We also have fresh squeezed tangerine, orange and grapfruit juices. PA Made Cheese We will have a fresh shipment of chevre and feta from Riverview Dairy. Hello I live in a side-by-side duplex and would like to hire someone to increase the sound proofing between our shared main wall. Has anyone worked with a company they liked or have any suggestions?
