Greetings! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I was looking forward to some time off but now since I have finished all the new recipes and fall schedule I am anxious to start classes again. Private parties are the only functions at the school until fall. It's air conditioned so if you want a private affair give us a buzz (6-10 people).....birthday celebrations, office parties, children's parties, team building, anniversaries, bachelorette parties, or for just a night out with good friends, good food and wine! We are excited about the fall classes (schedule attached) and hope you will be pleased!! Important Information: Evening classes will be 6:00-9:00 P.M. instead of starting at 6:30 Saturday classes will be 11:00-2:00 PM This will open Saturday evenings for private parties Sunday classes will remain the same--2:00-5:00 PM These will be a small price increase on a few classes but most of them remain at $60.00 We are saving the High Tea and Brunch classes for the spring. You can, however, request these classes for a private party Dim Sum and Vietnamese are gone for fall but will return in the future and can be requested for private parties Working on a Korean menu for 2012 (January through June) Celiac, gluten-free, and vegetarian classes are still offered to your group of 6-10 people. I have tried numerous times to schedule them as a regular class but always end up cancelling due to poor attendance. Thai I /$120.00 Thai II /$120.00 Holiday Baking & Candy Making: (new!) $150.00 Great class for holiday treats and gift giving! In 2 four hour sessions you will learn to make yeast dough items, cookies, a tart, and a variety of candies. A light lunch will be provided to help you from going into a sugar coma. Bring containers to take home your stash of goodies. One Session Classes: (access menus at www.chopwoktalk.com<http://www.chopwoktalk.com/>) Moroccan Dinner: $65.00/new menu Greek Appetizers and Desserts (new!): $60.00 Just the good stuff! Italian Dinner (new!): $60.00/much more than just all pasta Tapas Bar: $65.00/five appetizers, salad, dessert and Spanish coffee with Tia Maria Indian Dinner: $60.00/new menu Holiday Salads & Side Dishes (new!): $50.00 for two new veggie dishes, two potato dishes, and two salads French Dinner (new!): $65.00--this cuisine has been the most requested over the last couple of years. Elegant Entertaining (new!): $70.00 A menu fit for a king! Plus lots of cooking with wine. CULINARY TRIP TO ITALY: Some you thought it was March a few months ago..........it's March 17-29, 2012! The trip includes Venice, Tuscany, Rome, and the Amalfi coast area. There will be a cooking class in each area plus all the traditional sightseeing hot spots with a private guide, nice accommodations, and good food! I have two small appliances - a space heater and a dehumidifier - that have stopped working. Both are only a couple years old and it seems like such a waste to just toss them out. Is there anyone or any business out there that services small appliances like these? If not, is there a school or vocational program that might want them as a project to work on? Thanks - Stephanie
