[Highland Park] suspicious activity on Winterton Street

This afternoon (Friday, May 20) around 1:30 pm two men were walking from house to house on Winterton Street, while three men (with sunglasses on) were driving along behind in a beige Chevrolet. One man came to our house and asked if I wanted something free. He was holding a spray bottle. I said no... It looked suspicious to me--and they were clearly checking out all the houses on the street. I called 911, but wanted to put the word out to neighbors as well, especially since there was a burglary on Jackson Street yesterday.

Several people asked for the Housekeeper recommendations. Here you go. I have a wonderful house cleaner who also cleans a bunch of other homes here in Highland Park (and around Pittsburgh). She cleans our house bi-weekly and it works out great. Previously (over the past 7 years) I tried out a company which was a complete rip-off. Also, I did not feel comfortable or safe not knowing who was going to be showing up at my house to clean. I also have used two other independent cleaners whom were simply not responsible to show up on the scheduled dates and times. I feel she is a super reliable, dependable, observant, responsible cleaner. [Highland Park] help starting an anti-smoking non-profit organization

Having not found a group in Pittsburgh dedicated to addressing issues of cigarette smoking in public places around our city and raising awareness about the effects of smoking and second-hand smoke, I've decided to start a non-profit organization for this purpose. I have no experience with starting up something like this so ideally I'd like to get together with others who have done some grassroots work. I'm very passionate about creating more public environments where air can be free of the toxins found in cigarette smoke and educating the public (particularly youth).
