Through Wednesday Animal Friends is offering $20.10 adoptions for cats six months and older. Also, July 17 is Animal Friends' kitten adoptathon. On that date two kittens can be adopted for the price of one! I know that both AF and ARL have been inundated with kittens and cats this season...if anyone has room in their home and heart for a feline companion or two, now is a great time to adopt! Meg

Hello new neighbors, My wife and I just moved to Highland Park from South Carolina. We've finished unpacking our place on N Highland Ave but we don't have a dining room table. We're looking for a solid wood table that can seat 6-8, and we're looking for the same number of nice dining room chairs. Does anyone have a table they're looking to sell? We let our cat (a mostly black calico with a white chest and asymmetrical markings on her face) out this morning and she hasn't come back, which is very unusual. We live on Jackson St. between Heberton and the park. She was wearing a collar with her name (Turtle), our address and our phone number when we let her out.
