A neighbor kid lost a black, winter glove on the walk back from sledding near the farmhouse at the end of Jackson. Hey guys :-) what a crazy weekend !!! check out this motivational story-- my dad (Sam) who just turned 84 last month and lives on the 400 block of Borland St. -- off of East Liberty Blvd.-- .has been shoveling his way out of his street !!! he actually started this morning (Sun.) after his sidewalk he is almost free. :-) no blowers or plows just old fashioned labor. our street hardly ever gets plowed even in minor storms.If anyone walks past tomorrow you just might see him he is almost done. The city is doing their best so we please all need to be patient most of us do have to work and get out and around but it is what it is and we need to understand this. Any way please please be careful out there and don't forget as quickly as time passes so shall this. Maribeth aka Me & Sassy

Hi neighbors - If anyone has a plastic sled in still-usable condition that's gathering dust in your basement and garage, we'd be glad to take it off your hands! Our son has been borrowing a neighbor's but we'd like to have our own so he can careen down our driveway whenever the mood strikes him. We are willing to pay a reasonable sum for the 'right' sled. Here are all the recommendations I have received to date. Thanks everyone! Janna Eversmeyer I have a small front yard surrounded by a privet hedge and Harvey Moore and his crew are diligent about keeping it in shape over the summer. He's very nice. He used to do my neighbor's yard, but they moved and the new owners do their yard themselves, so maybe he's looking for another account. michel landscaping in blawnox. Joe Somma and Michel Landscaping located in Blawnox. Dan is from morningside and Joe is a City fireman who does Landscaping on the side. Both are great guys. We use Tony Asturi...who is reliable, professional and reasonable 412 486-7190 I'd recommend Mike Ruane of Grass-N-At at 412-461-6453. He's been doing our lawns for several years. we've been working with these guys for the past two years and love them. they use all natural organic products. no chemicals - safe for pets and children. it's only natural landscaping 412-310-9757 Saello and Sons do a lot of work in the neighborhood.
