Early yhis morning a smallish black and white pit bull looking dog began following me and my dog on the 1300 block of Sheridan St. The dog began following us and left us on Bryant and Farragut. He had a dark collar - not sure iif he had ID.

Hello to anyone who is searching for a babysitter and/or petsitter! My name is Saskia Berrios-Thomas. I am 15 years old and I have a lot of experience with children and animals. I have babysat kids aged from infant-10 years old. I regularly watched a boy on Saturday nights over a 2 year time period (he was 4 and turned 5) but no longer sit for them as they have moved away. I have done other miscellaneous babysitting jobs for families in the Highland Park area. If anyone is looking for a regular babysitter (or someone you can call for the occasional weekend night), I am available Friday and Saturday nights. In the summertime, I will be available more days during the week. References are available upon request. As far as petsitting goes, I have watched over dogs, cats, birds, fish and even a turtle while families were on vacation. If you are looking for someone to watch over your pet while you are away (for a weekend or a longer vacation) I am available any time of the year, as usually I can fit this into my schedule easier. [Highland Park] Tree Planting Volunteers needed

Hello Neighbors, Trees are valuable to us here in Highland Park. They not only look beautiful, but they clean the air and raise the value of property in the area. We are planning a tree planting day through Tree Revitalize on Stanton Avenue between Highland Ave and Heberton Ave. It may also include tree planting on side streets off of Stanton. The actual planting will happen in the Fall, but we need help organizing in the meantime. Home owners need to be contacted within the tree planting vicinity before we apply for the trees we need. I'm looking for a few people who can commit to helping out in the next 6 months. We will meet only a few times at first, but as we get closer to the planting date, I'm sure we will be more frequent with our meetings. If you dont have time, but would like to help; we would love to have you at the Tree Planting in the Fall - just look for future emails. Thanks, Josie and Scott
