Call For Artists for $250 ArtShow (Highland Park) Can’t put a price on ART? We just did! For one night only! CALL FOR ARTISTS for our $250 ArtShow. On October 11th, 2008, the Institute of International Art & Language will host our first ever $250 ArtShow, at the West Penn Family Center in Highland Park. The event will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm. The show will be an exhibition of a range of different pieces, varying in size and medium; from painting to sculpture, to who knows what! Here’s the catch, all pieces will be priced at $250. Each piece must embody a sense of our core values: Art & Language. The artist must submit a short statement of 200 words or less, which will be exhibited next to the entry, explaining the relation of Art & Language within the piece. There is a nonrefundable entry fee of $12 per entry. Artists are limited to a maximum of 5 entries. Keep in mind, space is limited! All art is to be delivered to 1135 Mellon Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, on or before October 1st, 2008, along with the entry fee. IIAL will take 35% commission from each piece that is sold. This is an excellent way to support IIAL in our effort to promote Art, Language & Culture locally, as well as establishing your name in our first ever $250 ArtShow!
