[Highland Park] changes to recycling pickup

The city is now picking up corrugated cardboard, paperboard, magazines, catalogs and phone books for recycling in our neighborhood. Just put your stuff in blue bags. Corrugated cardboard boxes need to be flattened and tied. Yes they will take pizza boxes. This is really great, and the city should be commended. You will be amazed at how much this can cut down your garbage every week. Paperboard is stuff like cereal boxes. Look in your pantry and you will see it is full of this stuff. Please take advantage of this new service, god knows we pay enough taxes for it. Here is a link to the details on this program. Hi! I found a handsome, very friendly Pomeranian mix when walking my dog this morning. We ran into him on Wellesley & N Euclid. I put up signs with the information and talked to neighbors on the surrounding blocks but no one seems to know him. If you know to whom the dog belongs, please call me at 978-340-3230. I will hold on to him for a bit, but am going out of town soon and will have to leave him with animal control eventually. susan

We're thinking about some home renovations, and are interested to hear any recommendations for contractors in the following areas: HVAC - looking for someone to convert our steam/radiator heating system to central heat/AC Flooring - remove and replace hardwood flooring If anyone has had these services done and can recommend their contractors, we'd like to hear about it! Happy Friday everybody, Just found out that on Friday night June 6th, both Machete and Chaibaba are joining CK9 and the Old E All Stars, along with comedian Mo Mozuch at the Shadow Lounge(5972 Baum Boulevard Pittsburgh, PA 15206) for the Unblurred after-party.
