I have a solid green, full-sized, fabric (not leather) couch that could be yours, absolutely free! It would be a great couch for a kid's playroom or basement (in other words, it's not pretty to look at, but it's completely functional and comfy). [Highland Park] vandalism on Wayne Road & Jackson St.

We went out for a walk around 8 p.m. this evening (Thursday). When we turned down Wayne Road, we saw a couple of very large urns that had held flowers that had been overturned and one was broken. We alerted a nearby homeowner. As we continued down Wayne Road, we saw another very large wooden flower box that had been torn off a lawn and thrown on the street. When we got back home on Jackson St., a neighbor asked us if we had had any urns or flower boxes broken. They had just been out for a hour or two and came back to find their flower boxes and urns knocked over and broken. We called 911 to let the police know about the vandalism. jai

Again, I hope this is okay to post. We are asking for donations of bottled water, microwave popcorn, and snack foods -- like pretzels, granola bars, trail mix. Bags of apples would be good, too, as they last a long time. Just drop them off at the Obama Campaign headquarters at 125-127 Highland Avenue. [Highland Park] Keys Found at Highland & Bryant

I found a set of keys at 7:30 PM this evening, on the sidewalk right near the NE corner of Highland Ave. and Bryant St.(uphill side). It included several keys and numerous club cards, plus a fairly distinctive leather charm. They're being held at the counter at Tazza D'Oro and I'm sure the barista on duty will surrender them to the owner, given an adequate description. Good luck, Tony

Neighbors, I am asking everyone walking along Mellon Terrace (reservoir side) - from the middle of the block to the section where the buses park - to be on the lookout for a pair of dog tags. They belong to "Pearl." A metal, silver looking one is her name tag and has our telephone number. The other, yellow plastic, is her 24PetWatch.com ID tag. Fortunately, only the tags are missing and not Pearl. Thanks, Allyson
