Thanks to Shelly Danko Day, who spotted someone riding a bike that looked suspiciously like the one that was stolen from our house yesterday, I now have my bike back! A young man was riding the bike around the neighborhood, just blocks from our house. The police from Zone 5 were really helpful and courteous, as well. thanks, Shelly!! Does anyone know of any dumps in the area where you can take your construction debris? I don't have a lot, but it's more than the garbage guys would take and less than I would need to rent a dumpster for. Thanks in advance! Rachel

Highland Park neighbors... Yes, it must be summer in Highland Park. For the second time in as many years, we have had a bike stolen from our garage -it was open-, most likely while we were at home this evening eating dinner and putting kids to bed. (My husbands was stolen from our garage while were at home last summer). Red women's Univega, spedometer on the handlebars, rack on the back, knobby tire in the front, road tire in the back with a red sidewall. [Highland Park] Stolen Bicycle

WayneWright StationeryI just wanted to express the huge disappointment with the fact that one can come out of the house in the morning to see their 2 year old's bike stolen right off of the front porch of the house. I think that it is a bigger disappointment for me than him, because now I will have to explain to him that his bike that he loved to ride up and down the street is now gone thanks to someone not respecting another person's property. Anyway, so is life, but if someone does see a little purple bike with training wheels just sitting around like it was stolen and then abandoned, please let us know- otherwise, looks like we will now lock everything up each night....sad, really. [Highland Park] Two Questions - Jewelry Reseller & Furniture Stripper

Hi Folks - I would appreciate some suggestions for the following questions: 1) Do you know of a reputable place where I can resell jewelry? 2) Do you know of anyone who does dip stripping or other furniture refinishing techniques? I have an old oak chair that someone used as a painting chair and it has paint spots all over it. I need to strip it, but I can't handle the fumes. Any ideas? Any suggestions to either question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jessica
