[Highland Park] Great new shop at Village of East Side

Natural Stitches is a new shop in the Village of East Side shopping center (formerly East Liberty Station). It is a wonderful store with a very wide selection of yarns and fibers in mouth-watering colors and textures. There are lots of supplies, patterns, books, and magazines for knitting and crocheting, kits, classes, and a comfy seating area. I visited today and couldn't resist the inspiration to make something! The Natural Stitches store is next to the mailing/shipping store, to the right of Staples. They have a sign in their window but not on the building yet. I encourage you to visit and support this unique business. It's great to have it so close. Janna Eversmeyer

A reminder to all the Highland Park parents who are interested: The first meeting of the weekly playgroup is this Friday the 14th at 9:30 a.m. We'll be meeting at the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library at the intersection of Aiken and Centre in the Methodist church. There's parking outside the entrance (enter the parking area from Centre) and the first visit is free. There's been lots of interest so there should be a good size group.
