Hi Neighbors! I'm hoping that someone can help...I'm in a bit of a jam. In past years, my children and I have been able to get a real tree for Christmas...this year was hoping to be no exception. I was holding out for this paycheck thinking that I would have enough to get our tree and sadly (and surprisingly to me) my check was smaller than anticipated and we aren't able to get our tree. So, here we are...6 days before Christmas and we have no tree :( My question is...does anyone have an extra artificial tree that they're not using...even if it's a small one? I'll return it if you wish after the holiday season. I'd really appreciate any help I can get for this one little thing that means so much to my kids. Thanks for listening... Hi neighbors, our cat Boris with collar, name tage with name and phone # did not show up this morning - he often spends the night out but he is never gone for 24 hours. We live at 1217 Heberton and Boris, our stray showed up about 4 years ago and while a roamer, always returns home. we last saw hime heading out late Sat. afternoon. On Saturday December 16th the Open Door, Valley View Presbyterian Church and Fourth Presbyterian Church will be going Caroling around the East End. We will meet at the Union Project in the Atrium at 7 pm, disperse into a few groups and gather back together at 8:30 pm for hot beverages and cookies. Trees will be for sale in the Union Project side yard until December 23. The sale is almost entirely staffed by volunteers, and this past weekend we sold more than 100 trees! This coming weekend, December 16 and 17, we expect another big rush, but we need more volunteers. Can anyone recommend a barber or salon that can successfully deal with a wiggly three-year-old? My son got his haircut in a kid-oriented place in Greentree when we lived in the South Hills, but that seems too far to go for a kid's haircut.
