Dear neighbors, Thank you very much to all of you who contributed with children's clothes and household items for making the 5 Afghan families I am helping with my friend Fahima very happy! Your kindness and generosity is heartwarming and I thank you all. I have taken under my wing a young man who came alone from Kabul with the airlift last August, like all the other families. The agency who placed the refugees placed him in an apartment in McKees Rocks where he is subjected to nightly harassment by the locals. The wonderfully kind owner of the All Foreign parts company on Butler Street has offered him the automotive job that really makes him happy and I am trying to find a closer and safer place for him to live. By bus it will take him 1.45 hr to go to work! So if you have or know of a small apartment opening for renting soon, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
